Outdoor Weather Warning Siren System
The City is in the process of installing a much needed upgrade to our outdoor weather warning siren system. During this time period, sirens will not be tested on the monthly basis as they have been in the past. However, the current system will remain active and will be activated in case of an actual severe weather incident. There will be no break in service, the current sirens will be deactivated only when the new sirens are fully functional. Installation of the new system began last week. We will post new updates in the near future.
Surveys for Fairview Heights MetroLink Station
There are 2 online surveys available for completion concerning future development adjacent to the Fairview Heights MetroLink Station. The surveys are a direct result of recent Transit Oriented Development meetings held in the City this past summer, fall, and this winter. Both Fairview Heights residents and residents of the Metro East are encouraged to complete the surveys.
