The Engineering Division of the Public Works Department consists of the Engineers and the Street Department. The Engineers duties include plan review (public and private), department budget preparation, project management, office administration as well as other tasks. The Street Department is responsible for the maintenance and upgrades of all City owned streets and drainage systems. Other duties include right-of-way mowing, bulk trash pick-up, street sweeping, snow removal, and various citywide projects. The Street Department is also in charge of asphalt street overlays, concrete slab replacement, and the oil/chipping program.

Code Red Alerts: If you are a resident of Fairview Heights, and water is supplied to you by the City of O'Fallon's Water Department, your name can be added to their list for Code Red Alerts for contact in the event of water service issues. Go to the City of O'Fallon's website at www.ofallon.org, click on the Code Red Icon, and submit requested information, or contact the City of O'Fallon's Public Works Department at 624-4500.
