About the Committee

The Planning Committee (in cooperation with the Land Use Director) will review:

• Development and Building codes
• Annexation petitions
• Zoning text and map amendment requests
• Special use permits
• Development plans
• Subdivision plats
• Other associated land issues
• Recommendations of Planning Commission and Economic Development Commission for development in the City

It will also review regulations concerning:

• Property maintenance
• Nuisance and animal control
• Licensing of business establishments, including mercantile and lodging
• Enforcement issues pertaining to aforementioned regulations
