2018 Zoning Code Update

The Fairview Heights Planning Commission will conduct a series of public hearings on a draft of the revised and restated Chapter 14, Zoning Ordinance, of the Revised Code of Ordinances of Fairview Heights, Illinois.

Revisions were initiated by City of Fairview Heights based on recommendations from the City’s 2012 Comprehensive Plan (the long-range land use and economic development vision for the community), to clarify inconsistencies and conflicting clauses, and incorporate new trends.  The revisions are city-wide, but will primarily impact NEW DEVELOPMENT or SUBSTANTIAL REDEVELOPMENT.  Key code changes include establishing exterior building design standards for new construction, modifying sign regulations for size and materials.

The Public Hearings will be conducted in the lower level of the Fairview Heights Public Library, 10017 Bunkum Road on:

Monday, October 29, 2018 at 7:00 p.m.
